TEHRAN (IQNA) – Salah is an act of worship that has been described as a pillar of the religion because it invites all parts of human body and soul to remembrance of God.

Saying Prayers

God tells Prophet Moses (AS): “… and establish the prayer of My remembrance.” (Verse 14 of Surah Taha)

Salah is a remembrance made by the tongue as well as the heart. Saying prayers has a special and innovative method that involves all parts of the body from head to toe.

When doing ablution, we do the Mas’h of both the head and the feet and during prostration, we put both our forehead and toes on the ground.

During the Salah, both the tongue and the heart are remembering Him.

Eyes must be humble, back must bend in Ruku, and hands should be raised when saying Allahu Akbar.

So all parts of the body are somehow at the service of remembrance of God during Salah.
